FOURTH OF JULY EXPRESSED

All About July Celebration

Hi! Okay so, me and my friends were in Canada. Because of my uncle’s wedding, and they were invited. So, about… 4 or 5 days be4 the wedding, we were Canada, Toronto. (We really lived in VA.) But, when we were in this famous part of Canada, we went into a haunted house, SCARY! (Really scary. :( ) So after that, we went 2 Ruby Tuesday, and we had a whole table 2 just us. And so, we were just talking. Then we went some places, be4 we went back 2 our, 5 Star hotel! :) Then we all went into my room, because my room was the largest! And guess what?! Some of our favorite shows were playing. But they didn’t play in VA. So we were REALLY happy! Then, we have like a StarBucks like, right across from the hotel. So then, I got my hot choclate, and drank it. Then we looked outside my window, (and my window was HUGE!!! :) ) And soooo many fireworks were going off! And that was, the most incredible time of the 4th of July, in my Life!

Sooo much Fun, :)

-Sofia G. :)

I would like to be in charge of the parade and fireworks display.

I purchased an XFX 680i LT motherboard in July of 2008. It came with a two year warranty and I have proof of purchase. I am not a novice computer user. I work on computers part-time and have an IT degree. I am having great problems in regard to a motherboard I purchased from XFX.

THE BOARD I PURCHASED WAS DEFECTIVE AND XFX KEEPS SENDING ME RE-CERTIFIED BOARDS (4 SO FAR) AS REPLACEMENTS, WHICH ARE ALSO DEFECTIVE. MY WARRANTY ENDS IN JULY. WHAT SHOULD I DO? Details below.

Usually I purchase ASUS, MSI, or even some of the cheaper brands (Biostar, ECS) for my builds. I have had few problems with any of them and never needed to rely on a warranty.

(1) AUGUST 2008: I purchased a mother board from Tiger Direct. This motherboard had a dead memory channel. Model is the XFX 680i LT SLI.

(2) JULY 2008: I contacted XFX and RMA’d the board.

(3) OCTOBER 2008: I received a replacement motherboard (albeit incomplete). I used this board as a back up computer and it had very light use. The performance was never that stable. It was housed in an Antec 900 ATX case, so air flow was not a problem.

(4) OCTOBER 2009: Replacement board failed. No warning. I’ve never overclocked it. It comes from a cool, smokeless environment and was only used minimally for gaming. It was also hooked up to a battery back-up system with line conditioning to protect it from surges. Power supply was an 850 watt Thermaltake.

(5) DECEMBER 2009. I could not deal with the issue until the holidays due to various responsibilities. I contacted XFX and RMA’d the board.

(6) JANUARY 2010: I received a replacement board. This board was dead on arrival and could not post to BIOS. So, I RMA’d this board.

(7) FEBRUARY 2010. I received another replacement. This board has a dead PCI express slot, but otherwise works. However, because it is damaged I cannot trust it even for casual use as work station or file server.

(8) It is beginning to appear to me that the company will continue to send me re-certified boards until my warranty runs out. I am not accusing XFX of this, but it is hard not to suspect this due to the pattern. I’m now on my fourth board.

BOARD 1: Dead memory channel.
BOARD 2: Dies after roughly one year of very light use.
BOARD 3: Dead on arrival.
BOARD 4: Dead PCI express slot.

What should I do? Does anyone have any ideas?
I’ve tested the board (s) with five different processors, 4 different power supplies, and 4 video cards. I’ve also mentioned that I’ve never had problems like this with other manufacturers. Please read the entire article before you post.
Also, the boards are all damaged in different ways. WHICH IS CLEARLY STATED.

I’ve tried them with a variety of memory, processors, power supplies, and video cards.

Instead of assuming, make sure you read the entire article.

either you have horrible luck, or there’s something wrong with your setup. e.g. your RAM isn’t compatible with your board, a bad power supply, a bad CPU. this tells me it’s not the motherboard, likely something else. the only way to find out what, is to try each component in another system.

if you’re really convinced all these motherboards are at fault, I’d get a working replacement and sell it on eBay, and cut your losses. hell, don’t even bother testing it. just say in your eBay ad it’s a replacement board, and you felt like switching brands due to the previous trouble.

good luck

my husbands 10 year old daughter is coming to spend 10 days with his mother. We’ve been invited to come to this family gathering in his daughter’s honor but were told we couldn’t stay in the home. His sisters always stay at mom’s when they are in town. He’s upset, and I don’t understand either. The long distance relationship is hard on both of them and now this. How do I help him thru this, w/o an explanation as why he’s not welcome to stay there when there’s plenty of room, it’s a very large house. If he doesn’t have a reason how can he fix the problem or understand?

He needs to come right out and ask his mom what the reason is that you can’t stay there since she has plenty of room. I suspect that his daughter’s mother is behind this in some evil way. You have my sympathy. I hope it works out for all of you.

Do Libs celebrate 4th July?or mourn it?
Do Those who Want USA to Be Transformed into a communist country: Mourn on the 4th of July?
Many people who live and stay here, illegals, communists, socialists, anti-Constitutionalists like obama–must be sad every yr, American celebrates her Freedom from Tyranny.

They act so unamerican, do you think they honor the 4th and the great price paid to be free?

I imagine liberals drink wine coolers, smoke weed and burn the American flag.

2 Slo County Sheriffs deputies violate 4th amendment rights of Matt Hart KCCN.tv Part 3Final part:

SLO County Sheriff’s deputies illegally search the home of Matt Hart and openly discuss how they will get away with it. To date, Matt Hart has not recieved all of his firearms back from the department, including one that the deputies expressed interest in owning.

This cannot be swept under the rug. Help spread this around to help gain attention so Mr. Hart can push his lawsuit against this blatant violation of his civil rights by those deputies. We cannot allow these people to shred the Constitution just because they feel like it.

I see on the news people gathered downtown to watch fireworks. I always thought they did this on July 4th.
I think they are doing fireworks celebration tomorrow too. Not sure what is up with tonight’s. First I ever heard of it.

Some holiday events are celebrated ahead of time, depending on what day the holiday falls on. Or maybe your town doesn’t do this kind of stuff on Saturday–sounds kinda silly though. Just guessing.
